Febo Rolland Pecorino Orange White Natural Wine Organic Biodynamic | Pre-Order

$27.99
Only 100 available

Both new vintages of this product are currently en-route from Italy. Both vintages are available for Pre-Order, and will ship once they arrive in our warehouse.

Rolland’s deep straw yellow or rusty color likens it to an orange wine, but this color comes from the vineyard, sun, and weather. A fresh and textured mouthfeel leaves you pondering and wanting to have another sip. We recommend to let it breathe before enjoying to the fullest.

The 2022 vintage is a product of a particularly hot and dry growing season, which led to an early harvest and resulted in a wine with a touch of sweetness. It is approachable and smooth, with amazing flavors of peach and cantaloupe, complemented by touch of orange marmalade, golden raisins, and finishing with a nutty hint of peanuts. With a silky texture akin to peach nectar, and a touch of white pepper, the 2022 is a balanced and expressive wine that drinks beautifully.

The 2023 vintage offers a drier, more savory, and complex profile. With golden raisin and saffron flavors, it evolves into deeper sensations of caramel, sage, and a pronounced orange rind on the finish. It wraps up with a long, distinctive mineral finish. The 2023 really summarizes well the age-worthiness of this wine.

About This Producer

After studying law in Bologna, Davide Febo decided about five years ago to home to Abruzzo to make natural wine with traditional abruzzese varieties as a family project, basing his farm & winery on vineyards his grandparents on both sides of his family maintained for years, in both Pescara and Chieti areas. Hence their wines have nuances, reflecting these two winemaking areas in Abruzzo. His wines are farmed and made organically, fermented in cement, relying on native yeast fermentation, and are unfiltered.
