Meet some of our Vero Producers from Piedmont

Piedmont today is known mainly for red wines from the Langhe area. And this is not surprising since the soils, typography and climate make it ideal for growing certain grapes, like Nebbiolo which is the main grape in many important well known red wines from Piedmont such as Barolo and Barbaresco.

Aldo Clerico

Aldo Clerico, a Vero Producer, was raised in the Langhe, just south of the town Barolo, and has wine grape cultivation and wine making in his DNA of all the native red grapes from the Langhe, including dolcetto, barbera, and last but not least, nebbiolo. He makes his wines following tradition and instinct, and they are available for you to browse and purchase in the Vero Shop.

Briamara

But did you know that back in the 1800s, white wine was considered the most prestigious wine from Piedmont, and Alto Piemonte, or Nothern Piedmont, has a white varietal, Erbaluce. In fact in the mid 1800s Erbaluce white wine won an award as one of the best wines in the world at a wine competition in Paris. Briamara, a family wine grower-maker who is at the foot of the alps in Northern Piedmont, specializes in a variety of Erbal, ranging from dry to sweet and sparkling, as well as traditional red wines made from Nebbiolo.
