Briamara - Italy
Our story begins in 1931 when grandfather Silvio, in the midst of his youth, replaces the old family vineyard with Erbaluce.
Our grandfather was among the first in 1967 to request the DOC for white variety Erbaluce which is native to Northern Piedmont. It should be known that Erbaluce, although very limited territorially and not so well known, was among the first Italian wines to request and obtain the DOC!
The years pass, passion is passed down from father to son and, after acquiring mastery in the vineyard and above all in the cellar, Massimiliano carries on the family project and with the help of his wife Elisa, in 2009 they started what is known today as Briamara.
Massimiliano and Elisa, with the help of her sister Carlotta, carry on the company respecting nature to achieve quality first in the vineyard and then in the cellar.
Today Briamara has about 10 hectares of vineyards, of not only Erbaluce but also red Piemontese varieties, Barbera and Nebbiolo, allowing them to provide a diverse assortment of estate grown whites and reds, ranging from dry to sweet, and still to sparkling.
