Trade Tasting With Guido Corino of Case Corini with Genuine Wine Selections in Boston

  • The Washington Square Tavern; 714 Washington Street Brookline, MA, 02446 United States (map)

“…The interpretation of your dreams has spurred me and the winemakers who read you to try to do better.” – Angelo Gaja on Lorenzo Corino

Genuine Wine Selections, distributor in Massachusetts, is hosting a seminar/trade tasting featuring Guido Corini of Case Corini, one of the most significant producers of natural wine in Piedmont, on Wednesday November 15th from noon-2pm. Guido represents the sixth generation of this small family estate, carrying on the legacy of his late father, Lorenzo, whose patented methods are the reference points for anyone interested in natural wine production. Massachusetts based trade professionals are invited.

Lorenzo Corini was a giant in Italian wine academia and had a deep impact on Italian wine culture as well as the country's movement towards 'slow wine'. Lorenzo was an agricultural researcher, professor and author of over 90 academic publications on sustainable viticulture and biodynamics. He patented the 'Metodo Corino' as a regenerative organic approach to agriculture that incorporates the best of organic/biodynamic practices and treats the farm as a complete ecosystem. Lorenzo will be forever respected for his work, revered for his teachings and remembered for his graciousness.

Guido and his sister Luisa Corino took the helm at Case Corino recently after having worked behind the scenes with their father for many years. Guido will be here to reflect on his family’s farming, natural winemaking philosophies and the future of Case Corini…and to taste some of their extraordinary natural wines!

This tasting will be presented in sit-down format. Seating is limited. For more information please contact us.
